07/05/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 7 May in Strasbourg, the European Parliament decided, with 316 votes in favour, 291 against and 27 abstentions, to accept the request from the committee responsible (the Committee on Regional Development) for an urgent decision on the proposal concerning the mid-term review of cohesion policy. The proposal aims to align cohesion policy investments with the new priorities, including defence (see EUROPE 13634/4, 13634/16). The vote will therefore be added to the agenda of a forthcoming session of the European Parliament, said its President, Roberta Metsola. (LC)
