13/05/24 (Agence Europe) – The European Tax Adviser Federation (ETAF) interviewed four MEPs - Lídia Pereira (EPP, Portuguese), Alfred Sant (S&D, Maltese), Dragoş Pîslaru (Renew Europe, Romanian) and Kira Marie Peter-Hansen (Greens/EFA, Danish) - on their vision of the future of the European Parliament and European tax policy, in a special newsletter published on Wednesday 8 May. In particular, they address how to continue the fight against tax fraud and evasion, and the professional regulation for tax advisers in the EU. The forthcoming European elections will be “an exceptional opportunity for us all to decide collectively on the future direction we want for the European Union”, stressed Philippe Arraou, President of ETAF, in his foreword.
