EU Council agrees on confiscation of profits generated by Russian public assets frozen in EU

On the evening of Monday 29 January, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) approved the latest version of the compromise proposal submitted to them by the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council on the confiscation of profits made from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia in the EU (see EUROPE B13329A24).
