Josep Borrell promises UNRWA funding has not been suspended

On the evening of Monday 29 January, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, announced that funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), in turmoil following allegations regarding the involvement of some of its employees in the 7 October attacks (see EUROPE B13337A16), had not been suspended.
