European Parliament/EU Council agreement on revised rules for occasional passenger transport sector

The European Parliament and the EU Council reached, on Monday 29 January, an agreement on the revision of the rules on driving time and rest periods for drivers of occasional bus and coach services (see EUROPE B13312A24).

“The new rules on minimum breaks and rests will ensure better working conditions for bus drivers and guarantee better services for tourist trips across Europe”, commented the Belgian Minister for Mobility, Georges Gilkinet, in a press release.
