Global gas demand set to rise by 2.5% in 2024, according to IEA

30/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – In its latest gas market report, published on Friday 26 January, the International Energy Agency (IEA) indicated that global gas demand is set to increase by 2.5%, or 100 billion cubic metres, as a result of colder temperatures compared with the mild winter of 2023, and a fall in natural gas prices following the record levels seen in 2022.
