Belgian Presidency of EU Council attempts to reassure other Member States about compromise reached before vote on AI Act

30/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 2 February, the Permanent Representatives of the Member States to the EU will vote on the provisional agreement on artificial intelligence reached by the European Parliament and the EU Council on 8 December (see EUROPE B13311A17). Several Member States had left open the possibility of not supporting the text, as they were unhappy with certain aspects of the compromise reached.
