‘Listing Act’ – European Parliament and EU Council negotiators close to agreement

Negotiators from the Council of the EU and the European Parliament are “very” close to an agreement on a regulation governing the listing of companies on stock markets (‘Listing Act’) (see EUROPE B13278A23).

According to a source close to the dossier, there is just one point of divergence that will prevent the interinstitutional negotiations (trilogue), which began on Monday 29 January, from reaching an agreement: ‘multiple-vote share structures’.
