15/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 14 February, the European Commission opened a one-month consultation period on the key performance indicators for the Digital Decade 2030 policy programme (see EUROPE 13095/24). These indicators are intended to monitor several areas included in the policy agenda, such as the measurement of e-skills, the gender balance in the acquisition of e-skills, and the level of connectivity of households covered by very high capacity fixed networks. Other key indicators should be used to measure the level of 5G coverage, the value generated by semiconductor activities in the EU or, among others, the number of computing nodes providing latencies below 20 milliseconds. The results provided by these indicators should be used to see if the objectives set in the policy programme are - or are not - being met. See the consultation: https://aeur.eu/f/5c0 (TM)
