EU allocates €873 million to 17 infrastructure projects, including €578 million for Spain/France interconnection

On Thursday 25 January, EU member states agreed on the Commission proposal to invest €873 million to support 17 priority energy infrastructure projects (PCI) selected under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).  A record sum of €578 million is earmarked for a new Spain/France electricity interconnection.
