Contrary to member states, MEPs rule out dual nationals from ECRIS-TCN' system

On Thursday 25 January, MEPs at the civil liberties committee (LIBE) adopted by a large majority (47 votes for, 6 against) the report by Daniel Dalton (ECR, United Kingdom) on the proposal to create a centralised ‘ECRIS-TCN’ system that would help provide swift verification of whether a member state had information on the convictions of a national from a third country (see EUROPE 11819).
