Parliament supports doubling budget of seventh JRDP and creation of European Research Council

Strasbourg, 11/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - Adopting on Thursday the report by Pia Locatelli (PES, Italy), the European Parliament highlighted its support for the idea of doubling the EU funding provided for research when the 7th Framework Programme for R&D (FP7) is adopted. On the content of FP7, the MEPs want to ensure continuity with FP6 while clarifying and simplifying procedures.
