EU to appoint Special Envoy for Moldova

Brussels, 11/03/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the EU's Political and Security Committee recommended appointing an EU Special Envoy for Moldova, to help work towards peaceful settlement of the conflict in Transnistria, in close cooperation with the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The Special Envoy will also promote democracy and the rule of law throughout the country and good relations between the EU and Moldova, in line with the action plan adopted on 22...
