Commission calls on Italy to amend its legislation on hydroelectric concessions

Brussels, 09/01/2004 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to send Italy a formal request to amend its procedures for granting concessions for the production of hydroelectric energy, which give preference to outgoing concession-holders and, in the Trentino-Alto Adige Region, to local public bodies.
