By way of its subsidiary NESTLE WATERS, the Swiss NESTLE group has taken over the water business activities of one of the main South Korean players, the agri-food company PULMUONE. NESTLE will therefore have a 51% stake in PULMUONE WATERS (turnover USD 23 million in 2002). The amount paid for the deal was undisclosed.
