Czech Republic/Romania: PKN ORLEN? THE LARGEST Polish oil company has announced that it will be launching an offer for a 63% stake in the Czech group UNIPETROL, an offer in which a partner would be able to participate (see EI 3 December). PKEN ORLEN is also interested in a joint offer with other partners for the purchase of the Romanian PETROM company.
