European lawyers say Commission liberal professions regulation fails to take account of particularities of Member States' legislation

Brussels, 16/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Council of the Bars and Law Societies of the European Union (CCBE) says the European Commission has ignored the big issue in its planned regulation on the liberal professions by failing to the reasons which have led each Member States to legislate and sticking to the logic of competition.
