Brussels, 16/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - On 10 June, Commissioner Franz Fischler outlined the Commission's fisheries strategy for 2004 to the EP's Fisheries Committee. The accession of ten new Member States was obviously the main priority, he said, adding that the Commission was planning to extend the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) to the Mediterranean and take more steps to combat unauthorised fishing.
