Brussels, 16/06/2003 (Agence Europe) - "Whatever the merits of our respective positions, it behoves us all to make renewing the transatlantic partnership an urgent priority", reads an open letter published in Le Monde on 15 June, and signed by some twenty personages from the EU (plus Poland), in response to the joint statement recently approved by a "bipartisan group of leading statesmen" (see EUROPE of 4 June, p.4).
