EUR 50 million loan for Millau viaduct (France)

Luxembourg, 22/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a loan of EUR 50 million to Eiffage for the building of the Millau viaduct. This construction of 2.5 kilometres viaduct crosses the Tarn Gorge on the Clermont-Ferrand -Bezier motorway. The funding is part of the three-fold objective of finishing the infrastructure of European interest; regional development and improving the quality of life in the town of Millau.
