EU/Djibouti co-operation programme is signed

Brussels, 22/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EU and the Republic of Djibouti have signed a strategic document and indicative programme that will frame their co-operation for the 2002-2007 period. EUR 34.8 million, financed out of the 9th European Development funds (Cotonou Agreement) have been allocated to this programme that will include development projects and support for efforts made by the public authorities to reduce poverty and work towards a peace agreement.
