Brussels, 31/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the Commission filed a civil action on behalf of the European Community (EC) and ten Member States against the U.S. cigarette manufacturer R. J. Reynolds, following the dismissal of its cigarette smuggling action last February (see EUROPE 19 July and 21 February 2001).
