COMECE would like reference to "God"

Brussels, 31/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - In a press release published on 28 October, the President of the Commission of the Bishops' Conference of the European Community (COMECE), Mgr Josef Homeyer, hopes that it will be possible to include a "reference to God" in the future European Constitution "that would be acceptable to both believers and non-believers". Bishop Homeyer referred to this hope to the President of the EPP, Wilfried Martens, in a letter in which he also welcomed the proposals...
