Aid to training in Germany is approved

Brussels, 31/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission gave its approval for an aid package of EUR 4 million intended to improve maritime training in Germany. The aid will be granted on condition that sailors are trained on board vessels registered under the German flag. Under certain conditions, EU nationals may also benefit from the training premium. The Commission, which had already cleared similar aid in Germany (in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001) as well as in Sweden...
