31/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The co-president of the Green Group, Daniel Cohn-Bendit, has asked the Danish authorities not to extradite to Russia Chechen Deputy-President Ahmed Zakayev, arrested in Copenhagen. Recalling that Zakayev condemned the hostage-taking in Moscow, the MEP states that should the Russian accusations of complicity in this act prove to be founded, the Chechen leader should be handed over to the International Criminal Court.
