Commission calls on France to abolish advantages it grants EDF and initiates proceedings on tax concessions

Brussels, 16/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - As EUROPE announced on Monday, the European Commission considers that concessions granted by the French State to the public electricity company EDF, in the process of being privatised, do not comply with European rules relating to State aid.
