ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

AKZO NOBEL COATINGS, subsidiary of the Dutch-Swedish group AKZO NOBEL (2001 turnover of 14 bn euro with 67,000 employees in 80 countries) has taken a 50% stake in the leading Mexican powder coatings producer INDA - INDUSTRIAL DE ACABADOS. A new unit will emerge from this transaction called AKZO NOBEL INDA which will market products under the "Intepon" label.
