Loan of EUR 300 million to Italian TGV

Brussels, 16/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a loan of EUR 300 million to the Italian TGV, thus completing the one billion allocation approved in June 2000 and intended to support investment implemented on the high speed train line between Milan and Bologna. Funds were to be made available in 2003 and 2004. The project aims to build a double line electrified stretch of line 182 kilometers long linking the outskirts of Bologna to the area around Milan...
