The Chief Executive Officer of DOLE FOODS (turnover of USD 4.5 bn in 2002), leading world player in producing fruit and vegetables, announced that a bid of USD 1.26 bn to make his company private. David Murdock company chief intends to acquire 76% of the capital he does not yet won in the company for US 29.50 per share.
