In response to Mr. Heaton-Harris, Commission stipulates that 9 officials out of 41 have been sacked in five years

Brussels, 24/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - In response to incorrect comments made by British Conservative MEP, Chris Heaton Harris, the Commission stipulated on Tuesday that between 1998 and July 2002, 9 of the 41 officials guilty of serious errors had been stripped of their jobs, and not only one in 50 as the member had stated on Monday on reading an internal report of the Commission's disciplinary office.
