Parliament against report on banning trade in cosmetic products tested on animals

Strasbourg, 24/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the Parliament adopted by unanimity, during its plenary session in Strasbourg, a resolution on the report for banning the sale of cosmetic products tested on animals. This ban, which should have come into force on 1 July 2002, has been postponed by the Commission. German Social Democrat, Dagmar Roth-Behrendt, who had presented the draft resolution, exclaimed that the Commission could not postpone the entry into force of this directive...
