24/09/2002 (Agence Europe) - In response to the article published in yesterday's EUROPE (p.13), France states that it has taken no such stance on the questions of funds linked to the method of calculating the budgetary balances of the future Member States. It categorically refuses what is written on the British cheque and on the modalities for possible compensations to grant candidate countries.
