Italian group CAPITALIA (formerly known as BANCA DI ROMA) has sold 19% of its MCC - MEDIOCREDITO CENTRALE investment bank assets to a variety of different Italian industrial and financial partners for EUR 228 million. The investment group has a 3% stake in TELECOM ITALIA, FININVEST, the holding family of Berlusconi and TORO ASSICURAZIONI, insurance subsidiary of FIAT, as well as 1.5% in PARMALAT. CAPITALIA will keep control of its subsidiary.
