25/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Dutch government led by Jan Peter Balkenende has appointed his new Minister of Agriculture, nature and fisheries protection, Kees Veerman, professor at the Agricultural University of Wageningen (Christian Democrat CDA). A Secretary of State, who has been specially put in charge of nature protection, has been appointed to assist Mr Veerman; Jan Odink, 57 years old and an economist at the University of Wageningen.
