25/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Friday the Council of Ministers adopted a decision allowing the Community to become a member of the new regional fisheries organisation set up by the Convention on the conservation and management of Fishery Resources in the south-east Atlantic Ocean. Parliament gave its opinion on this proposal during the July plenary session in Strasbourg (see EUROPE 10 July p 14).
