25/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The signing of the readmission agreement between the Community and Hong Kong (EUROPE of 20 July, p.10) was at the end of the day not approved by Monday's Council. Approval is only postponed for formal translation reasons, it was explained in Council. The go-ahead for the signing of this first re-entry agreement between the Community and a third country should therefore be given to one of the first Councils in September.
