Joint venture between Deutsche Bahn and Contship Italia SpA cleared

Brussels, 15/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the creation of a joint venture between German railway operator Deutsche Bahn and Contship Italia SpA, a port terminal operator and provider of transportation of containerised goods in Italy. The new company will provide international intermodal transport of containers between Italian ports and the premises of customers in Austria, Switzerland and Southern Germany.
