Council calls on Commission to resume negotiations with a view to cooperation agreement between the EU and the Principality

Brussels, 15/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council of Ministers welcomed, last Friday, the presentation by the Andorra government of its ideas for a cooperation agreement between the European Union and Andorra. Recalling the mandate given to the Commission on 24 February 1997, the Council asks the Commission to resume negotiations with Andorra with the aim of concluding an EC/Andorra cooperation agreement with the EC and Andorra.
