Spain's SAICA has launched a counter-bid for the paper group LA ROCHETTE, thereby countering the 365 million euro bid made early January by MONDI (see EI of 7&8 January). SAICA is, however, only offering a slight increase in the bid, or 12 euro a share, than the one made by MONDI (which offered 11.6 euro a share).
