Belgium's BELGACOM has sold BELGACOM FRANCE (75 million euro turnover in 2001 with 300 employees), its French subsidiary active on the company market, to the French operator LDCOM. In exchange, BELGACOM takes a 10% stake in LDCOM. Through this latter operation LDCOM's total turnover, having also just purchased the French firm KAPTECH, will amount to 350 million euro annually.
