Creation of a Joint Consultative Committee with local and regional authorities in the Czech Republic

Brussels, 22/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Joint Consultative Committee that brings together representatives of the Committee of the Regions and local and regional authorities will hold its first meeting in Prague on Thursday 24 January. Made up of eight members of the Committee of the Regions and eight elected Czech politicians, this Committee is intended to advise the EU/Czech Republic Association Council on regional issues, and allow for closer co-operation between regions of the Union...
