ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) brewing

CARLSBERG ASIA, Asian subsidiary of the Danish brewers' CARLSBERG, has bought a further 8.4% stake in HITE BREWERY, South Korea's largest brewery with a national market share of 54% and over 9.5 million hectolitres of beer produced in 2001, for some $68 million, taking its total stake in the brewery to 25%.
