Agreement on the protocol for judicial cooperation in criminal matters, but abolition of dual criminality rule is abandoned

Brussels, 29/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Fifteen finally reached an agreement on Monday evening on the protocol to the Convention 2000 on judicial cooperation in criminal matters, but gave up the idea of doing away with the dual criminality obligation (an act that is punishable in a comparable way in the plaintiff State and the defendant State).
