- Czech Republic: Italy's UNICREDITO and France's SOCIETE GENERALE have made the highest bid for a 51% stake in the Czech Republic's third largest bank KOMERCNI BANKA, according to the newspaper Mlada Fronta Dnes which reported that the two banks' offers ranged from 35 to 38 billion crowns (without specifying which bank made the higher bid). They were followed by Germany's HYPOVEREINSBANK and the lowest bid was placed by CREDIT AGRICOLE. The Czech government hopes to raise between 34 and 45...
