ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

French VIVENDI UNIVERSAL has made a proposal to merge the Polish group ELEKTRIM with its 51% subsidiary ELEKTRIM TELEKOMUNIKACJA in order to create a new telecommunications group in which it would have a stake of over 50%. The proposal has been put to ELEKTRIM and will be submitted to the vote of shareholders on 28 June.
