ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) stock exchanges

Sweden's OM GRUPPEN is planning to launch a new bid for the LSE - LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE. In November 2000, OM GRUPPEN had been forced to withdraw a first offer of EUR 1.56 billion when it only managed to acquire a 6.7% stake. British stock exchange legislation requires OM GRUPPEN to wait until the end of the year before making a new bid. See EI of 1 November 2000.
