ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

British group CGNU has sold its Belgian non-life insurance branch to WINTERTHUR-EUROPE ASSURANCES, a subsidiary of CREDIT SUISSE, for the sum of £70 million. The sale covers all CGU SA shares as well as two branches, CGU INSURANCE PLC and SCOTTISH INSURANCE CORPORATION LTD.
