- Hungary: The airline companies AIR FRANCE, KLM, SWISSAIR and SAS have officially presented their candidature for the privatisation of the Hungarian company MALEV. In all, about twenty companies have expressed interest. They have until 8 January 2001 to put in their bids. EUROPE recalls that the Hungarian State plans to sell 46.8% of MALEV.
