ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) automobile equipment

French parts maker FAURECIA (French group PSA PEUGEOT CITROEN) is to acquire the activities of plastic components manufacturer SOMMER ALLIBERT for the sum of EUR 1.48 billion. After a complex operation, a new giant in automobile subcontracting will be born, keeping the name of FAURECIA. It will make a turnover of EUR 8.1 billion this year with 50,000 employed.
