Parliament calls for EU solidarity following floods in Italy and Spain

Strasbourg, 26/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - By approving a resolution by the EPP/ED, Socialist, Liberal, Green and UEN groups, on Thursday, on the recent flooding in Italy and Spain, the European Parliament called on the Commission and Member States to "provide for concrete measures of solidarity through a galvanization of human and material resources, in the framework of the five-yearly plan introducing a Community action plan in favour of civil protection" adopted by the Council in December...
